Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Supervisor, Payroll Services, this position follows general instructions and well‑defined procedures to perform standardized payroll and personnel transactions for designated actions, employee categories, or campus departments. These tasks must be completed in a timely and accurate manner to ensure correct paychecks are generated by designated pay dates, including for campuses participating in the Cross‑Campus Payroll Collaboration Project.
Key Responsibilities- Personnel/Payroll Information Management System (PIMS) payroll process for salaried and hourly employees.
- Customer service to assist employees and departments. Tactfully and clearly explain basic procedures and policies to individuals and departments who have minimal knowledge of payroll and personnel related processes and procedures.
- Payroll accounts receivables (AR) tracking.

Time Base1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

CompensationSalary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is $3,738 (Step #1) - $4,380 (Step #9) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. - CSU Classification Salary Range:
The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,738 (Step #1) - $5,446 (Step #20) per month.
