Job SummaryAs the Assistant Registrar, Athletic Evaluation for Student Records, this position is responsible for the day to day administrative oversight of processing of student-athlete academic records, including but not limited to admissions, competition eligibility, compliance monitoring, and progress to degree. They serve as the primary Enrollment Services contact and the campus subject matter expert on NCAA, Big West Conference, and other NCAA conference eligibility criteria and rules, ensures compliance and reports any concerns or violations to the campus NCAA Compliance Officer in CSULB Athletics.
Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life. This position uses a student-centered and equity-minded approach in all communication and service efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Day to day administrative oversight of processing of student-athlete academic records, including but not limited to admissions, competition eligibility, compliance monitoring, and progress to degree. Serves as primary Enrollment Services contact and campus subject matter expert on NCAA, Big West Conference, and other NCAA conference eligibility criteria and rules, ensures compliance and reports any concerns or violations to campus NCAA Compliance Officer in CSULB Athletics.
- Maintenance, implementation, configuration, updating, testing, and overall support of Athletics module student information systems.
- Plans, organizes, and manages the work of the (2) Evaluator I staff assigned to the student-athlete admissions and eligibility support functions, including oversight of Club Sports eligibility processing.
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

CompensationSalary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
