Certified Payroll Administrator - Long Beach, CA

Twining Holdings, LLC, an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company with 100 years of history, is seeking a Certified Payroll Administrator for our Long Beach corporate office. This individual will be responsible for timesheet review & entry as well as the preparation of Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) and related documents for federal and state funded construction projects, ensuring compliance with the state DIR.

The following is an overview of the position’s roles and responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and submits all Certified Payroll to the DIR and partnering contractors.
  • Process weekly certified payroll and provide reports (electronic and hard copy) as required by project.
  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and prevailing wage regulations.
  • Respond to certified payroll inquiries from employees, management, and government agencies.
  • Respond to annual audits as scheduled.
  • Ensures all required timesheets and supporting reports are received in a timely manner.
  • Review timesheets for accuracy, correct discrepancies where necessary.
  • Key weekly timesheets into Deltek Vision.
Requirements
  • 2 Years experience as a certified payroll specialist, construction administration labor compliance, or similar preferred.
  • Experience in performing audits on certified payroll documents.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Labor Compliance policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the California Labor Code pertaining to Public Works Projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work on-site (this is not a remote position).
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high volume data entry with accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with employees directly to resolve payroll inquiries.
  • Proficiency skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and general software programs.
  • Knowledge in Deltek/Vision and/or QESTField is a plus.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
