People & Culture Intern — HR Operations, Onsite Long

Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, complete spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more—all with the goal of opening access to space. Our Electron rocket is the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket, having delivered over 230 satellites to orbit. We are developing Neutron, a medium‑lift reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. The Space Systems business designs and builds satellites, payloads, and components—including spacecraft selected to support NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope.

As a People & Culture Intern you will gain hands‑on experience in People & Culture operations and insight into our company’s employee life cycle. You will work closely with your mentor and other department colleagues to grow both technically and professionally.

• Collaborate with a fast‑paced team to apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges.
• Attend frequent one‑on‑one meetings with mentors and supervisors to facilitate success and learning while providing progress updates.
• Participate in tech talks and network with other interns and employees through social and professional events.

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; at least one semester remaining after the internship starts.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of corporate Human Resources function experience.

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• 6+ months of corporate Human Resources function experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
• Strong time‑management skills and attentiveness to detail.

Must be able to work full‑time, onsite, for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning August or September 2026.

• Hourly pay range (CA): $25.00‑$25.00 US USD.
• Possible relocation stipend to subsidize relocation costs.
• Base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on education and experience.
