Position: Senior Staff Business Architect

The Senior Staff Business Architect will lead enterprise-wide transformation strategies that establish critical business capabilities in support of Ford’s electrification objectives. This role owns a portfolio of complex, cross-functional transformation programs and develops, grows, and leads a team of business architects responsible for translating strategy into measurable business outcomes.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy and broad organizational influence, this leader will define future-state operating models, establish transformation roadmaps, guide execution, and ensure sustainable adoption. The role will partner across Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics, and external partner organizations to align priorities, resolve enterprise-level trade-offs, and deliver lasting improvements across people, processes, data, and technology.

What you'll do...
  • Define and lead enterprise transformation strategies aligned with Ford’s electrification priorities and broader business objectives.
  • Own a portfolio of large, cross-functional programs from strategic discovery and business-case development through implementation, adoption, and sustainment.
  • Establish a clear transformation vision, measurable success criteria, and multi-phase roadmaps spanning people, processes, data, and technology.
  • Design current- and future-state operating models, business capabilities, processes, governance structures, and organizational interfaces.
  • Translate complex systems thinking and enterprise dependencies into practical, executable transformation plans.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of business architects, including defining standards, methodologies, and expectations for the discipline.
  • Influence executive stakeholders, align competing priorities, facilitate enterprise decisions, and resolve high-impact risks, conflicts, and trade-offs.
  • Establish portfolio governance, including scope and roadmap control, dependency management, risk mitigation, benefits realization, and executive reporting.
  • Set organizational change management strategies encompassing communications, stakeholder engagement, training, readiness, adoption, and reinforcement.
  • Partner with business and IT leaders to define process and data requirements, shape enterprise tool-integration strategies, and oversee testing and validation at scale.
  • Quantify transformation opportunities and develop executive-ready business cases, recommendations, and decision materials.
  • Establish reusable standards, playbooks, governance cadences, and continuous-improvement mechanisms that strengthen transformation capability across the enterprise.
  • Monitor business outcomes and ensure programs deliver measurable improvements in areas such as cycle time, cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.
You'll have...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 14 or more years of relevant experience, including at least seven years leading transformation, business architecture, enterprise strategy, or management consulting initiatives in complex product-development or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success owning and delivering a portfolio of large, cross-functional programs—strategic discovery through implementation and sustainment—with accountability for enterprise-level outcomes.
  • Advanced expertise in operating-model and process design, including current-state assessment, future-state definition, capability design, and implementation planning.
  • Proven ability to define a strategic vision, measurable outcomes, and multi-phase roadmaps spanning processes, data, technology, organizational structures, and workforce capabilities.
  • Strong executive stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence without direct authority, align cross-functional priorities, and resolve high-stakes conflicts and trade-offs.
  • Extensive experience in organizational change management, including communication, training, stakeholder-readiness, adoption, and reinforcement strategies at enterprise scale.
  • Strong program and portfolio governance capabilities, including scope and plan…
