Construction Superintendent

We are hiring an experienced General Superintendent to support a large-scale EV infrastructure and power delivery project in the Long Beach, CA area. This is a long-term full-time opportunity supporting the installation and commissioning of medium-voltage substations and DC fast charging infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will bring strong field leadership experience managing complex construction projects involving medium-voltage electrical systems, heavy civil work, asphalt/concrete paving, and large-scale equipment installation.

Preference will be given to local candidates.

• Lead day-to-day field construction activities for major EPC and infrastructure projects
• Manage and coordinate electrical, civil, mechanical, instrumentation, controls, and subcontractor activities
• Oversee installation and commissioning of medium-voltage substations (2.4kV–35kV) with minimum 2.5 MVA capacity
• Supervise heavy asphalt paving, concrete foundations, and DC fast charger installations
• Ensure compliance with all project safety plans, quality standards, and company procedures
• Conduct and lead field meetings including safety, scheduling, coordination, and progress reviews
• Review and audit PTAs, TSOs, field reports, progress tracking, and construction documentation
• Interface with clients, engineers, municipal agencies, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Support schedule forecasting, look-ahead planning, construction turnover, and commissioning activities
• Provide technical guidance regarding construction methods, drawings, specifications, and installation procedures
• Oversee staffing, craft supervision, material management, and subcontractor performance

• Bachelor’s Degree with 13+ years of construction management or craft supervision experience on similar projects

• Associate Degree with 15+ years of relevant experience
• OR
• High School Diploma/GED with 17+ years of relevant experience

• Medium-voltage substation installation and commissioning experience
• EV infrastructure and DC fast charger construction experience
• Heavy civil construction including paving and foundations
• EPC project execution and field leadership experience
• Strong understanding of construction safety and quality management systems
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, isometric, and P&
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and supervisory skills
• Ability to meet company driving requirements
