The Superintendentisthecompanyrepresentativewhohastheprimaryresponsibilityforallfieldoperations,includingthecoordinationofsubcontractors’work.

Superintendentisresponsibleforallfieldactivitiesassociatedwiththeproject,includingultimateresponsibilityforimplementationof

Safety/Zero Harmprogramforthejobsite,supervisionofallfieldconstructionworkbysubcontractorsandself-performedwork.

Sharesresponsibilitywiththeprojectmanagerfordevelopingtheprojectbudget,activelyparticipatinginthepreconstructionphase,andensuringthattheprojectisbuiltontime,within budget,andaccordingtocompanypoliciesandprocedures.

Managesandmentorsassistantsuperintendentsandotherfieldpersonnel.
30hoursofOSHAtrainingonceeveryfouryears,ormaintainSTScertification.

• Activelyparticipatesindevelopmentandmanagementofproject’sgeneralconditions,constructionschedule,project planning/phasing,andbuyoutstrategyduring

• Communicateswithsubcontractorsandemployees(alongwiththeprojectmanager) aconsistentlevelofexpectationsanddirectionregardingschedules,constructionmethods,companypoliciesandprocedures,permits,safety/loss prevention,sustainabilityprogram,quality control,andotherperformancestandards.
  
  Ensuresallemployeeshaverelevantsafety/losspreventiontrainingfortheir

• Thoroughlyunderstandsprojectspecifications,the contract,andthecontract’sgeneralconditions,andconfirmsthatallmaterialsandsubcontractworkcomplywithcontractdocumentsandquality
• Exploresandadvisestheprojectteamonappropriateschangesinmethods,materialsschedules,and procedures.
  
  Ensuresallmaterialsareproperlytestedaccordingtospecificationsandensuresthatalltestresultsareproperlyrecorded.

• Ensuresthatprojectsiteandcompanyassetsaresecure.
  
  Communicatesindividualsafetyroles,responsibilitiesandexpectationstoourclients,Operations staff,subcontractors,vendorsandthepublicthatmaintainsasafeandrespectfulworkingenvironmentatall
• Managesanddocumentsemployeeandsubcontractorproblemsornonperformance(alongwiththeprojectmanager) through mentoring/training,disciplinary action,termination,back charges,orotherappropriate
• Reviewsandapprovesallbillsformaterialsandsubcontractorrequisitions.
  
  Confirmsthatextrachargesfromsubcontractors/suppliersarereasonableandworkiscorrectlyexecuted.
  
  Coordinateswithprojectmanagerforapprovalonextra
• Facilitatesweeklyprojectprogressandsafetymeetingswithallsubcontractorrepresentativesandcoordinatestheupcomingweek’sPartnerswith Loss Prevention Professionalsassignedtotheprojectsite .Attendsallprogressmeetingswiththeowner/architectrepresentatives.
• Keepsowners/architectsinformedofprogressthroughoutthelifeofthe
• Ensuresthattheprojectcloseoutprocessisfinalizedtosettleallfinancialobligations,demobilizeallresources,andtransitiontheprojecttothe

• Buildseffectiverelationshipswithcustomers,design team,subcontractors,suppliers,andusergroupsthatreflectandsupportcompanycorevaluesandmeetsorexceedsthecustomer’s
• Makespresentationstoproactivelyseeknewbusinessopportunitiesthrough

• Bachelors Construction Management ,Engineering,Business,orarelatedfieldpreferredand7+yearsofexperience.
  
  Dependingupontheprojectsize,scope,andcomplexitytheyearsofexperiencemayvary.
• NewhiresarerequiredtosignupforOSHAcoursesandcompletethemwithinthefirstsixmonthsof
• Demonstratessolidpresentationskillsandverbal/written communication
• Exhibitscommitmenttoqualitybyevaluatingproject-relatedprocessesandmakingnecessarychanges,usingcustomerinputtomakeimprovements,andmeetingorexceedinginternalandexternalcustomer
