Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement, the Multimedia and Creative Strategy Coordinator will support in the development of videos that promote Long Beach State Athletic programs. This position will serve as backup to Beach Vision for game day production broadcast.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Athletics external groups to align with overarching developmental goals.
  • Responsible for technical aspects of video production and post-production.
  • Maintain and organize all drives and archives of video content.
  • Serve as backup to Beach Broadcast team.

This is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources. CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,570 (Step #1) - $6,658 (Step #20) per month.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Working knowledge of full range of production techniques including sound recording, graphics, television, photography, videotaping, lighting, editing methods and equipment preferred. Strong video shooting and editing skills, good understanding of interviewing/scripting/storytelling, knowledge of content marketing and program marketing. Ability to learn techniques in the development of television, film, or multimedia productions. Ability to use and maintain studio, camera and related equipment.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
