Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls in a courteous and timely manner
  • Provide general information including phone numbers, locations, and directions
  • Operate PBX paging systems, overhead paging, security radio, and fire panel
  • Register outpatient lab and direct admission patients accurately in Epic
  • Follow emergency codes, paging protocols, and assist Security during emergencies
  • Monitor incoming faxes, document emergency codes, and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a PBX operator, hospital operator, or call center agent
  • Strong customer service orientation and positive work ethic
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
  • Ability to train and orient new staff Reliable attendance and adherence to time and attendance policies
