Overview
Drayage Operations Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and ensuring data integrity within all NFI Port Services Drayage systems and processes, both internal and external. This role ensures that NFI Port Services meets all business requirements while providing value‑add efficiencies. The position supports Drayage related systems, functions, and processes across the organization and reports to the Sr Operations Support Manager.
Responsibilities- In‑depth learning of the working and processes of the Trinium system.
- Responsibility for accuracy in system setup and updates of AR/AP rate information.
- Learning manual and upload processes.
- Responsibility for accuracy in system setup and updates of customer, carrier, and consignee information.
- Timely response and completion of Ops Support ticket submissions and Ops Box (email).
- Timely responses to requests for system and project updates.
- Learn and understand how Trinium processes affect one another.
- Deliver coaching and training for operator users, as needed, on systems tools and processes.
- Maintain and ensure Drayage processes are utilized uniformly across the drayage division.
- Future opportunity to lead and develop operational support team members.
- At least five years’ experience in transportation, preferably in a port or rail drayage environment.
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office; TMS/Trinium experience is a plus.
- Respectfully expresses opinions, supports difficult decisions, and delivers communications (verbal and written) that convey a clear understanding of the audience’s needs.
- Experience preparing and delivering training and coaching to operators.
- Results‑focused with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to interact and influence individuals at all organizational levels.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Ability and availability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and potentially holidays as needed.
