Architectural Designer

Location:

Hybrid, Long Beach, CA

A highly respected and design-driven architecture firm is seeking an Architectural Designer to join their collaborative and fast‑paced team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful commercial and retail environments while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about thoughtful, technically sound design. This role offers hands‑on involvement across project phases, exposure to interdisciplinary coordination, and the chance to grow within a supportive and innovation‑focused culture.

What You Will Do:
  • Develop detailed construction documentation for commercial and retail projects, supporting project execution from concept through permitting.
  • Translate design intent into technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and cross‑functional teams to align on design and technical solutions.
  • Utilize BIM tools to produce high‑quality drawings and assist in design development efforts.
  • Support coordination across disciplines, including structural, MEP, and other consultants.
  • Apply knowledge of building systems, codes, and standards to real‑world project scenarios.
  • Contribute to a team‑oriented environment, actively participating in discussions and problem‑solving initiatives.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of architectural design, site planning, and construction documentation processes.
  • Experience producing permit and construction drawings using Revit.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and standard design software tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑based environment.
  • Experience with retail or commercial project types is highly valued.
