Procedures:
Weekend shift includes procedures
Physician must respond within 30 minutes for emergency procedures
If the candidate is non-local, the Lead Pediatric Radiologist can cover procedures on Saturday 2/21
Ongoing Option: PRN coverage available after these dates
Active, unrestricted California medical license
DEA license
Double board certification:
Diagnostic Radiology
Pediatric Radiology
BLS or ACLS certification
Completion of an ACGME-accredited three-year Diagnostic Radiology residency
Pediatric Radiology fellowship (required)
Epic (Inpatient) experience required
Experience:
Minimum one year required
Three or more years preferred
Hours:
7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (9-hour shift)Setting:
Inpatient hospitalEMR:
Epic (Inpatient)
Covers pediatric inpatient and ER studies from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Case mix:
Approximately 85% plain films
15% ultrasound, CT, and MR
No nuclear medicine
Average volume: 60-80 studies per day
Responsibilities:
Available for technologist questions
Review of outside studies
Perform urgent pediatric fluoroscopic procedures (non-interventional)
After 6:00 PM:
Covers inpatient film consults until Stat Rad assumes coverage at 11:00 PM
May occasionally read ER studies late at night or be called in for procedures
Responsible for inpatient film consults from 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Available for emergent fluoroscopic procedures overnight
