About the Position
Locum - Physician - Neonatology Long Beach, CA

Looking to make a meaningful impact in neonatal care? Join our dynamic team as a Locum Physician specializing in Neonatology, providing critical care for our most vulnerable patients. This opportunity offers flexible, inpatient-level coverage with a Level IV facility, ensuring you play a vital role in helping newborns and their families during important moments. Required Skills:

Board Certification in Neonatology or equivalent specialization

Valid California Medical License and current CA medical credentials

Proven experience in neonatal intensive care and Level IV neonatal units

Exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making abilities

Effective communication skills with a multidisciplinary team

Ability to work independently and manage high-pressure situations

Nice to Have

Skills:

Prior experience in a locum or temporary healthcare role

BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications up-to-date

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish and English

Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Minimum of 3 years' experience in neonatal care or equivalent field

Prior locum or temporary position experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:

Available for in-house shifts including day, night, and 24-hour rotations

Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Willingness to attain and maintain certification and licensure requirements

Must comply with all health and safety protocols, including COVID-19 guidelines
