About the Position
Join Our Team as a Locum Neonatologist in Long Beach, CA and Make a Critical Difference in Pediatric Care!

Are you a dedicated Neonatologist seeking a rewarding temporary position in a vibrant coastal community? We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced physician to provide high-quality neonatal care in a Level IV NICU setting, supporting vital healthcare services in Long Beach, CA.

This role offers flexible shifts, competitive compensation, and the chance to positively impact countless newborn lives.

Required Skills

MD or DO with board certification in Neonatology or Pediatric Critical Care.

Valid California medical license or the ability to obtain one promptly.

Proven experience in neonatal intensive care units, preferably at Level IV.

Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.

Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to adapt quickly to different shift schedules and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have Skills

Experience with neonatal stabilization and procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, and ventilator management.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, considered a plus for patient communication.

Preferred

Education and Experience

Doctoral degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

Minimum of 3 years of clinical Neonatology experience.

Previous work in Level IV NICU settings highly desirable.

Other Requirements

Availability for various shifts, including day, night, and weekend coverage.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compliance with all applicable state, federal, and local licensing and certification requirements.

Willingness to participate in onboarding and orientation sessions as needed.
