SEC is seeking highly qualified Registered and Licensed Vocational Nurses to teach part‑time LIVE Clinical rotations. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach clinical at well‑known, established hospitals and medical facilities.

• Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facility
• Teach a course load as assigned, including preparation for and instruction of clinical laboratory
• Plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning
• Clarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre‑conference
• Clarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staff
• Make patient/student assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needs
• Direct students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; provide resources to students to ensure critical thinking through the nursing process
• Coordinate a daily plan with clinical site to best observe, instruct, and evaluate students
• Direct post‑conference to ensure application of theoretical content to clinical experiences; provide opportunities for students to share learned experiences and verbalize feelings
• Evaluate student progress and give feedback weekly; provide clear objectives for improvement as needed
• Provide immediate feedback of clinical performance following observation of skills

The instructor will oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions for students in the lab, providing hands‑on instruction, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and inquiry.

• Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse with a current active license in the state of California
• Previous teaching experience preferred but not required
• Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills
• Functional ability to carry out classroom, clinical, and laboratory teaching responsibilities
• Competence in clinical skills and teaching
• Competent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and e‑mail

• LVN with AA or AS degree + 6 years’ experience required, or BA/BS with 3 years’ experience required (any type of degree)
• Saturday & Sunday AM or PM shifts
• 16 to 32 hours per week
• Must be able to start immediately
• Travel required
• Compensation: LVN $45 per hour
