Position: PT Faculty POOL - Culinary Arts (Baking & Pastry)

About the Position

The teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Trade, Tech and Community Learning campus, or other college teaching locations. It may be day, evening, weekend, online or off campus and is subject to change as needed. Part‑time faculty positions do not accrue tenure rights and offer flexible hours, providing an opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals within a community‑college environment that values transfer, general education, and vocational programs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Any Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in the discipline; OR
  • Any Associate degree and at least six years of experience in the discipline; OR
  • Evidence of sensitivity, understanding, and ability to manage the classroom environment and effectively provide instruction to community‑college students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Baking and pastry diploma and/or formal baking and pastry education.
  • Minimum five (5) years of baking and pastry experience with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

  • All graduate and undergraduate transcripts, showing school name, all college coursework, degree title and conferral date. Transcripts can be official or unofficial and must be submitted as an attachment.
  • Transcripts from countries outside the United States must be evaluated by an agency that is a member of the National Association of Credentials Evaluation Service (NACES) or Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE).
  • Applicants who do not meet the statewide minimum qualifications for this discipline verbatim are required to submit a supplemental equivalency application.
