Salary: $67.00 hourly. Job Type: Temporary – Adjuncts.

Location:

CC - East Kern, Edwards / California City / Tehachapi (Rising Scholars), CA.

• Provide instruction in a full range of Business courses, including Intro to Business, Business Law, Principles of Management and Organization, Business Communication, Introduction to Marketing, Human Resource Management, Principles of Project Management, Introduction to Personal Finance and Managing Diversity in the Workplace, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting.
• Deliver classes for other campus sites and for day, evening, or weekend sessions, including large classes and distance learning using multiple teaching methodologies.
• Participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs for the Business department; maintain subject‑matter currency; develop and revise curriculum; use computer and multimedia technology; engage collegially in departmental, college, and discipline‑specific professional activities.

• Master’s degree in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing, or business education; OR Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a Master’s in economics, personnel management, public administration, or a JD/LL.B.; OR Bachelor’s in economics with a business emphasis and a Master’s in personnel management, public administration, or a JD/LL.B.; OR equivalent.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

• Work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues in an innovative teaching environment that serves a diverse student population.
• Work effectively with students who have a wide range of skills, motivations, academic, and vocational goals.
• Develop curriculum, including curriculum delivered via different modalities.
• Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain subject‑matter currency.
• Assess student learning outcomes.
• Show knowledge of computers and willingness to explore new technologies that benefit the program.
• Commit to the California community college mission.
