Job SummaryThe Beach XP Program Coordinator, in collaboration with the Director of Beach XP, plans, implements, and evaluates a first-year learning community to support student engagement, retention, and success. The role involves coordinating student services, promoting inclusive and culturally responsive support, and connecting students to campus resources. Additionally, the coordinator provides administrative support, manages outreach and events, and facilitates peer mentorship to support students in their academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Programming and Services in collaboration with the Director of Beach XP.
- Collaborate and Integrate Student Support Services:
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and other departments to ensure alignment of Beach XP programming with institutional goals. - Data Management and Program Evaluation:
Assess programs, services, and activities by collecting, tracking, and analyzing data on student engagement, persistence, and success to enhance student achievement and evaluate the effectiveness of the programming. - Strategic Communication and Training:
Develop and disseminate communication materials, newsletters, presentations, and digital resources to promote Beach XP activities, support students’ sense of belonging and engagement.

Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

CompensationSalary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,083 (Step #1) - $7,228 (Step #20) per month.

To Be Eligible For Full Benefits, Employees Must Be Appointed At Least Half-time (.50 FTE) With An Appointment Lasting More Than Six Months And One Day.
