Job Description
Paraprofessional in Long Beach, CA at Pro Care Therapy. A K‑12 educational opportunity is available in Long Beach, CA, seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support student learning and classroom activities. This contract position is for the current school year, providing valuable assistance in a dynamic learning environment.
Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and managing classroom activities
- Support individual and small group student learning, adapting instruction as needed
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
- Monitor student behavior and provide feedback to teachers
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support student development and achievement
- Experience working as a paraprofessional or in an educational support role within K‑12 settings
- Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Patience, flexibility, and commitment to fostering student success
- Familiarity with instructional strategies and accommodations for diverse learners is preferred
- Relevant certification or training as required by state educational standards
- Long Beach, California, serving K‑12 students
- Compensation ranges from $16.90 to $35.00 per hour
