Job Summary
Under the leadership of the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Coordinator conducts outreach and advises individuals seeking a post-baccalaureate degree and supports graduate programming. The Coordinator positively engages and impacts potential and currently enrolled post-baccalaureate students.
Key Responsibilities- Student Advising & Graduate Student Preparation:
Offer information pertaining to admission requirements and procedures to post-bac programs and general program completion requirements. - Grad Center Event Planning:
Support in the organization and promotion of Graduate Center events and programming. - Outreach for Graduate Programs:
Attend on and off-campus fairs to promote graduate programs. - Grad Center Program Management:
Support with oversight of Graduate Center graduate assistants and student workers.

Time Base1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
ClassificationStudent Services Professional II
Compensation- Hiring Range: $5,083 - $5,127 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,083 - $7,228 per month.
- Paid Time Off:

Demonstrate commitment to serving diverse student populations, strong customer service skills, ability to negotiate and prioritize across multiple tasks, strong computer skills, knowledge in graduate admission requirements, ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships, work independently, communicate with diverse community, follow policies. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience.
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in behavioral sciences, education, public or business administration, or a job-related field and two years of professional experience in a student services program.
- Coordinator will attend graduate program fairs, student events, competitions, and forums to engage prospective students. Travel required as needed.
Valid CA Driver's License required.
Physical SummarySedentary work: involves mainly sitting; walking and standing minimal; lifting up to 10 pounds.
Additional InformationA background check for criminal records is required. Candidates must be a mandated reporter. Current employees must comply with background check policies.
