Overview
Options For Youth (OFY) is a network of free, non-profit public charter schools offering students a flexible, personalized approach to learning. OFY is seeking outgoing, energetic, authentic, motivated, and inspiring individuals. Pay range: $2,923.08 - $4,115.39 (bi-weekly, depending on experience). Job type:

Responsibilities- Meets one-on-one with students (and parents, if required/desired) to discuss post-secondary goals; assists teachers in creating individualized plans for students to reach their goals, and ensures students with 200+ credits are following their post-secondary path and are aware of the needed requirements.
- Acts as the primary contact for district ROP and vocational programs.
- Coordinates workshops or seminars quarterly to inform students and teachers of post-secondary options and equips students with specific skills required for post-secondary life (e.g., interviewing skills, filling out job or college applications).
- Creates timely hand-outs (or posters) for teachers and students regarding requirements for specific options; stays up to date on and informs students, parents, and teachers of the latest financial aid and scholarship information.
- Obtains knowledge of current UC A-G requirements and communicates with students and teachers.
- Tracks senior credit progression monthly to ensure students and teachers know what is required for timely graduation and reports postsecondary data to the Assistant Superintendent and Director of Instructional Operations annually.
- Provides students resources for SAT and ACT preparation; facilitates SAT and ACT prep classes on-site when appropriate and monitors and informs of SAT and ACT testing sessions, including maintaining an accurate master SAT and ACT testing calendar.
- BA/BS Degree required.
- Valid preliminary or clear California PPS credential in School Counseling.
