ABOUTTHE POSITION
The teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Pacific Coast campus, or other college teaching locations. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online or off‑campus and is subject to change as needed. Part‑time faculty positions are as‑needed and do not accrue tenure rights. They offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals within our community college district.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Master’s in Nursing, or
- Bachelor’s in Nursing, and
- Master’s in Health Education or Health Science, or equivalent, or the minimum qualifications as set by the Board of Registered Nursing, whichever is higher.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical practice in an acute medical‑surgical area providing direct patient care and meeting the requirements of the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- A Long Beach Community College District application.
- A current resume.
- All graduate and undergraduate transcripts showing school name, all coursework, degree title, and conferral date. Transcripts can be official or unofficial and must be submitted as an attachment. The conferral date must be on or before the Final date to receive applications in order to meet Minimum Qualifications.
- Transcripts from countries other than the United States must be evaluated by an agency that is a member of the National Association of Credentials Evaluation Service (NACES) or Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc (AICE).
- Applicants who do not meet the statewide Minimum Qualifications for this discipline verbatim must submit a Supplemental Equivalency Application.
