The Student Success Coach is an integral part of the Student Services Division, including the First Year Experience Program, Career Center, Transfer Center, Destino Center, Completion Counseling, and more. Student Success Coach Lead Interns work closely with students to provide referrals to various programs and services based on student needs. They lead and assist with special projects as assigned.
Distinguishing CharacteristicsThe Student Success Coach Lead Intern is distinguished from the Student Success Coach Intern in that they are responsible for providing instruction, supervision, and coordination to Student Success Coaches. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment within established rules and procedures and works closely with the area director to ensure all departmental objectives are met.
Education Levels- Entry Level: Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program.
- Journey Level: Must have a Bachelor’s degree and be currently enrolled in a Master’s program.
- Advanced Journey Level: Must have a Master’s degree and be currently enrolled in a Doctoral program.
For candidates looking to pursue the Counseling Route, you must be currently enrolled in a Master’s program in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or Social Work from an accredited institution.
Hourly RangeThe hourly range for this classification is $25.00 - $28.00. If selected you will work with your department hiring manager to discuss salary placement depending on your experience and education levels as outlined in Job Description.
Employment DetailsThis is an in‑person job. Candidates will be asked to work at either the Liberal Arts Campus or the Trade, Technology, and Community Learning Campus. Coaches are required to work a maximum of 20 hours per week throughout the Fall and Spring semesters and Summer intersession. Winter Intersession will be optional.
