Job SummaryThis position will perform complex student and student organization advisement, leadership training, and major event supervision to maximize opportunities for co-curricular student involvement and enhance retention of students. This position will develop and implement out-of-classroom programs and services that educates CSULB students about ethical leadership, cultural awareness, and positive social change.
Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable, inclusive, and culturally sensitive to enhance the quality of campus life. This position uses a student centered and equity minded approach in all communication and service efforts.

Key Responsibilities- Monitor, advise, and develop student organizations
-Advise assigned student organizations with regard to program planning, including goal setting, establishing time-lines for complex programs, budgeting and fundraising, monitoring, approving and securing Associated Student Grants, volunteer recruitment and development, interpretation and enforcement of relevant University policies and procedures, program implementation and evaluation. - Design and implement educational leadership programs to enhance the student learning experience using a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion framework.
- Works proactively with other members of the department to address student life issues and SLD major programs such as, but not limited to, Student Leadership Summit, Celebration of Leadership, and Make a Difference Day.

CompensationSalary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is $5,083 - $5,619 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. - CSU Classification Salary Range:
The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,083 - $7,228 per month.
