The Parking Maintenance & Repair Department of the Long Beach Community College District is seeking highly-qualified individuals to be our Campus Safety Assistant! The incumbent ensures the safety and security of the campus community, responsible for securing premises, providing safety escorts, patrolling facilities, and reporting. Additionally, the CSA is responsible for the Safe Parking Program check-in process. We are looking for someone who collaborates with other campus safety personnel and local authorities to maintain a safe and secure campus, provide support in emergency situations, such as evacuations or lockdowns, oversee the district's Safe Parking Program and maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and complete incident reports.

Experience is evaluated on the basis of a verifiable 35-hour week, unless specified otherwise. Prorated part-time experience may be acceptable. Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations.

    Will be valid for 12 months once approved or ratified by the Personnel Commission. We reserve the right to use the established eligibility list for vacancies (permanent and temporary) in this classification as well as related classifications
