Job Overview
Arc Experience of fers before and after‑school programs across Southern California. The Site Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a positive and enriching environment where students can thrive beyond the classroom.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and oversee daily after‑school programs and activities that align with the organization's mission and student needs.
- Ensure programs are engaging, age‑appropriate, and promote academic, social, and emotional development.
- Recruit, train, and manage after‑school program staff.
- Act as the primary point of contact for school administration, fostering strong relationships and partnerships between the school and after‑school staff.
- Develop staff schedules, assign duties, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Provide ongoing professional development and training to enhance staff effectiveness.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all staff and students.
- Address student behavior issues in a positive and constructive manner, following organizational guidelines.
- Monitor student attendance and engagement, addressing concerns with parents and school staff as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with district staff to support program goals and ensure alignment with school and community needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to share updates on student progress and program activities.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and program evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, including licensing and safety requirements.
- Develop and manage the program's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Oversee program setup, including materials, space, and equipment.
- Coordinate transportation and meals/snacks for students as needed.
- Represent the organization positively to all stakeholders as the primary contact for the after‑school program.
- 2+ years of experience in after‑school programming operations and administrative skills.
- 1+ year of experience managing a team.
- Strong communication skills; able to talk to kids, parents, school administrators, and teachers comfortably.
- Problem‑solver, team player, and good listener.
- Able to supervise and support staff without constant direction.
- Collaborative with all levels of staff.
- Professional attitude, commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and discretion.
- Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and common operating systems.
- College transcripts showing 48+ college credit units completed, or completion of an academic proficiency exam.
- Require TB test (negative) and Live Scan background check.
- Must hold or obtain CPR and first aid certification within 12 months.
- English–Spanish bilingual speaker highly preferred.
- Must provide documentation of full Covid‑19 vaccination if required by the school.
