Reporting to and under the general direction of the University Honors Program Director, the incumbent serves as Associate Director of Leadership and Engagement and manages all student leadership programs and initiatives focused on enhancing UHP student experiences and professional development. Participates in setting department goals, organizing major events such as symposia, graduation, and collaborative programming. Maintains quality relationships between on-campus departments and the community.

Oversees co-curricular engagement and advising by connecting with all college-based advising teams and supporting honors advising as needed.

• Leadership and Engagement Programs
  - Create, develop, and implement large and small scale programs, series programs, and creative practices to develop leadership skills and community involvement on and off campus. Create and implement programs and initiatives that meet the needs of beginning and advanced student leaders. Expand leadership, professional development, and civic engagement opportunities for UHP students through collaboration with university departments and off campus organizations.
• Oversight of Advising Activities & Workshops
  - Manage advising activities and workshops for UHP students in collaboration with the UHP Academic Advising Lead. Ensure that students observe university deadlines and complete their degree and UHP requirements. Provide independent student advisement and guidance for the incoming Honors cohort at Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) as well as for the entire Honors student population. Serve on the University Advising Council (UAC).
• Programmatic Planning, Development and Implementation
  - Assist the Honors Director in identifying areas for Program enhancement and developing strategies for the implementation of programmatic changes. Assist the Honors Director In shaping and communicating to the Honors student population Program guidelines and ensuring understanding and compliance.

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
