Under the direction of the Director of the Office of Belonging and Inclusion, the Assistant Director develops, coordinates, and assesses the Men’s Success Initiative (MSI) and the Muslim Student Resource and Puvungna Student Resource Centers (PSC). The position designs and implements programs, services, and retention strategies that promote access, engagement, academic success, leadership development, and graduation for students from historically underserved communities, with a particular focus on male students and students connected to the Muslim and Indigenous/Native American communities.

The Assistant Director leads initiatives that enhance student outreach, retention, inclusion, leadership, career readiness, and overall student success. Responsibilities include developing study groups, workshops, mentoring programs, retreats, campus and community partnerships, and co-curricular programming that support student achievement and help close opportunity and achievement gaps. The incumbent collaborates across Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, the university, and external partners to provide academic and career guidance, connect students with resources, and foster a sense of belonging.

The position also plans and implements educational, cultural, and social events; supports student organizations; and advances leadership development opportunities.

Using a student-centered and equity-minded approach, the Assistant Director provides culturally responsive services that support the academic success and well-being of a diverse student population. The position is responsible for collecting and analyzing program data, evaluating outcomes, and supporting the achievement of departmental and divisional goals related to student engagement, retention, and graduation.

• Lead the Men's Success Initiative (MSI) to create, develop, and implement strategies and programming to support male students from traditionally under-served communities, in the areas of access, engagement, retention, and resource services.
• Develop, implement, and coordinate programs, services, and activities that enhance student learning, development, and success for the Muslim and Puvugna Student Resource Centers.
• Oversee data collection, assessment, and annual reports.
