Valuation Associate

As a Valuation Associate, you will work throughout the U.S. while conducting appraisals for government entities, municipalities, higher ed institutions and other client properties. We are searching for the adventurous type -- a lot of travel will be involved in this position (60%). Flight, Rental Car & Hotel points accumulated can be used for personal use.

• Assists project managers in conducting customer site inspections for asset identification and analysis purposes.
• Makes initial judgment on specific assets inspected and determines if the asset should be included in the valuation report (buildings, machinery & equipment, land improvements, etc.)
• Documents asset attributes for valuation and reporting purposes.
• Applies direct, standard, and normal costing techniques with consistency and accuracy (valuation of subject assets.)
• Develops project management skills (project preparation, prioritizing tasks, effective client communication, scheduling, monitoring productivity, making decisions, solving problems, completing all necessary tasks efficiently, client follow up, and appraiser feedback.)

• An undergraduate degree, or in lieu, equivalent professional experience.
• Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software (Word, Excel, Outlook.)
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to accommodate the travel requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including air travel.
