Overview
Hill International is seeking a Project Manager in Long Beach, California
Qualifications- Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Project/Program Manager role on ports, highways or rail projects.
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Technology, or related discipline or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, certification, training, skills, knowledge, and abilities.
- PE required. California PE preferred.
- CCM or PMP Certifications preferred.
- Experience and understanding of Project Management procedures including planning and budgeting, writing scope of work, creating work breakdown structure and project delivery schedule.
- Understanding of project delivery life cycle from planning and programing through design, procurement, construction and close out.
- Heavy experience with civil engineer design of transportation project with focus on port, rail and utilities relocation projects.
- Hands-on problem solving management style.
The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $230,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.

- Assist the Project Manager in all aspects of required field and office construction engineering work.
- Prepare PM/CM plans to include change management plan invoicing procedures budget and schedule monitoring processes quality assurance plan safety oversight and project specific procedures including communication/coordination plans for the project.
- Manage and administer construction contracts.
- Manage preconstruction planning activities.
- Manage CM and inspection staff.
- Review and comment on the Contractor’s construction schedule(s).
- Provide design-support-during construction.
- Ensure compliance and enforcement of FTA requirements.
- Change order processing.
- RFI (request for information) response.
- Prepare monthly consultant invoices.
- Conduct construction progress meetings.
- Conduct project team meetings.
- Coordinate agreements with and work of sub-consultants and services.
- Maintain on-going contact with the Construction Project Manager.
