We are looking for an Ammonia Refrigeration Advisor to support our Risk Management and Industrial Refrigeration training programs. This role focuses on delivering training and technical support to professionals operating and maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems. Primary responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and conducting safety, operations, and compliance trainings aligned with federal regulations and industry standards. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in ammonia refrigeration and will also support mechanical integrity inspections and related compliance activities as needed.
This position can be remote.
- Develop and deliver ammonia refrigeration training programs through classroom, virtual, and hands‑on formats.
- Create and implement training materials including:
- Refrigeration operations and maintenance trainings
- PSM and RMP compliance trainings
- Training videos and recorded webinars
- Voice‑over PowerPoint presentations
- Hands‑on SOP modules for field delivery
- Design new educational materials aligned with ANSI and industry standards.
- Schedule and execute Train‑the‑Trainer courses.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through testing, surveys, and trainee feedback.
- Maintain and update training databases, materials, and documentation.
- Conduct mechanical integrity inspections in accordance with IIAR standards and applicable regulatory codes.
- Support development of site‑specific SOPs and compliance documentation.
- Remain current on industry developments and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Partner with internal teams and clients to expand and improve training programs.
- Travel as needed to deliver trainings and support inspections, approximately 40 to 50 percent.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred, or 4 to 6 years of experience delivering ammonia refrigeration training in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration operations, maintenance, and safety practices.
- Experience developing and delivering technical training programs.
- RETA Authorized Instructor certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Familiarity with PSM and RMP compliance requirements.
- Strong presentation, communication, and curriculum development skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and virtual training platforms.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 40 to 50 percent.
USD $90,000.00 - $ / Yr.
