Primary Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain the enterprise Safety Management System in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (including 14 CFR Part 5 where applicable).
- Lead the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.
- Lead collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements; incorporate into designs, operations, and procedures.
- Review complex regulatory and customer requirements and evaluate impact to company products and services.
- Lead analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Lead development of a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products.
- Research, investigate, and monitor compliance processes or reported in‑service fleet issues for achieving regulatory compliance and recommend and lead process improvements or corrective actions.
- Engage with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape certification strategies, approaches, activities, and artifacts.
- Partner with regulatory authorities to complete validation of airworthiness to applicable requirements as authorized.
- Provide advanced technical support, training, tools and resources to the delegated approval organization.
- Develop, review, and maintain complex compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations.
- Lead establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Project Management.
- Experience functioning in a cross‑functional environment.
- Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college.
- Experience with product Certification Systems, CFR Part 25.
- Open‑minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment while being a champion for regulatory initiatives, objectives and milestones.
- Willingness to consider and investigate alternate proposals in support of a “never fail” spirit.
- Experience working with aviation regulatory agency requirements (FAA, JAA, EASA, etc) or any regulatory agency.
- Proven integration and communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience in project leadership.
- Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience.
- Desire to continuously improve and support our airplanes and teammates.
