Job Overview

In this position, as a Range, Performance & Charging Systems Modeling engineer you will develop, modify, and correlate physics‑based models for the charging system and high and low voltage subsystems that accurately predict vehicle performance. Your optimization will fight physics to find the most desirable outcome for the vehicle and our customers. You will work closely across functional teams to identify gains in efficiency and model, predict, and test them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and modify tools of different fidelity for the HV and LV bus, power conversion device controls and charging system predictions.
  • Run sensitivity analyses to understand the design space and tradeoffs.
  • Work closely with the power electronics, low‑voltage, charge port, HV and LV electrical distribution system teams to model and improve charge times, power conversion device performance at a vehicle level.
  • Create vehicle‑aligned component and system targets for function, cost, weight and more.
