Shift: Days (8hr)

Pay Range: $34.24/hr – $39.28/hr

The MHS Telecommunications Technician is responsible for the availability, integrity, and acquisition of telecommunications systems covering patient, provider, employee, and business information, and for coordinating services to assist users in meeting telecommunication needs.

• Oversees the day‑to‑day operation of the voice network and telecommunications systems in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Interfaces with customers, staff management, and vendors to coordinate moves, address changes, and telephone problem resolution.
• Provides technical support to management and users in designing and implementing new and expanded voice services.
• Installs and repairs communication equipment, including telephone and data systems.
• Prepares, implements, and documents maintenance schedules for all communication equipment and evaluates equipment and supply needs.
• Supports and leads other technicians regarding telecommunication utilities and applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 3+ years of proven and documented industry experience, preferably in a multi‑site, multi‑equipment facility.
• Certification in NEC 2400 IMX, IPX, 2000 Basic and IPK;
  Comdial is a plus.
• Formal industry training on voicemail systems, substantiated by a certificate or verified years of experience (preferably AVT Call Express, Active Voice, or Televantage – ACD).
• Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent work experience.
