The Relativity Space Mechanical Engineering Internship is open to students working towards a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related fields. To be considered for this role, you should have proven experience designing and working with 3D CAD tools in mechanical engineering context, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to demonstrate an aptitude for understanding spatial relationships and must also be able to interface with customers.
Strong preference for experience with Siemens NX CAD, ideally within a Siemens PLM Teamcenter integrated/managed environment. As an intern, you will organize and maintain CAD part libraries to ensure clean and reusable engineering data, verify data accuracy and ensure consistency across design files and libraries, and manage and update specifications, materials, and engineering notes within the system. You will also build and maintain standard part families to support efficient design workflows, utilize Siemens NX and Teamcenter to manage and structure engineering data, support and improve engineering workflows by enhancing data organization and accessibility, collaborate with engineering teams to ensure library content meets design needs and standards, and contribute to maintaining best practices for data integrity within an aerospace or defense environment.
This internship is offered in the fall in Long Beach, CA.
