Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Associate, Experienced, or Lead Level Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Analysis Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, CA in support of 777X Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA).
We are seeking team members with knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles to make an immediate impact on our 777X airplane development programs. As part of the ECS group you will be working on components that directly impact the safety of airline passengers. You’ll be an integral part of supporting the development, testing, and certification of 777-9 and 777-8F ECS systems.
Travel:
The candidate will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time. Adaptability, Collaboration, Communication, Customer Focus, Innovation, Project Management, and Engineering Judgment skills are essential.
- Supports development and documentation of Environmental Control System analysis and architecture.
- Assesses complex system events to determine potential safety issues, utilizing airplane function integration at the system and component level.
- Contributes to development of hardware, software, and system performance requirements, and supplier qualification of these components and systems.
- Assists in component and system laboratory/airplane testing to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
- Works directly with airline customers and airplane component suppliers to ensure effective system integration and customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
- 1+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined Systems Engineering environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
- 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience.
- 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience.
- Master’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- 1+ years of experience being a team leader.
- 5+ years experience with engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis.
- Direct experience with aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, thermal analysis, computational fluid dynamics.
- Knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles.
- Experience with Boeing commercial airplane modification projects.
- Experience with Boeing production development programs.
- Ability to work with multiple team functions.
- Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience.
- Desire to continuously improve our airplanes.
Candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 and 120.62 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, U.S. National). Position is 100% onsite in Long Beach, CA.
Work Hours and LocationPosition is for 1st shift, fully onsite, and requires relocation based on eligibility. No visa sponsorship available.
Pay and BenefitsAssociate Level: $90,950 to $123,050
Experienced Level: $111,350 to $150,650
Lead Level: $135,150 to $182,850
