The Southern California Global Design Center Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently seeking experienced Multi‑Skilled Project Engineers to become part of the Commercial Modifications Engineering IPT in Long Beach, California.

• Fully understand the project statement of work including safety and certification requirements
• Facilitate Technical Design Reviews to help drive resolution to complex technical issues
• Provide engineering and integration leadership to teams across multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external stakeholders and customers
• Act as Project Technical Leader guiding the integrated product team (IPT)
• Develop integrated project plans, project schedule, statement of work, and certification strategy to support research, development, ongoing and new business requirements
• Support project proposal activities by reviewing statement of work, assessing potential impact to certification or configuration control, and defining overall effort required to complete the project
• Oversee project execution to completion and monitor and report project technical performance metrics to leadership
• Identify potential risks to projects and outline coherent action plans for mitigation and resolution
• Compare actual results to the baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and document lessons learned
• Identify and lead improvement initiatives to optimize organizational quality and project flow
• Work under minimal direction and be proactive
• Some domestic and/or international travel required

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5+ years’ experience in leading teams or projects
• 5+ years’ experience supporting cross‑functional teams
• Aircraft Interior commodity experience (Interior commodities are items such as overhead stowage bins, lavatories, galleys, seats, PSU, sidewalls, air grilles, flight deck seats, etc.)

• 10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Technical Lead on Aerospace Design Vehicles
• Previous experience working in an aircraft modification environment or with Supplemental Type Certifications (STC)
• Good understanding of CFR Title 14 FAA Part 25 regulations
• Experience working with external suppliers
• Ability to travel domestic & international up to 10% of the time
