Strativ Group is partnered with a rapidly scaling aerospace company developing next-generation communications and RF systems for advanced spaceflight applications.
Backed by significant private investment, the team is building mission-critical hardware for future crewed orbital platforms and is now looking to hire an RF Antenna Engineer to support the development of advanced telemetry, tracking, and communications systems.
OverviewThis is a hands-on engineering role focused on the design, development, and testing of RF antenna systems for spaceflight applications.
You will work across the full hardware lifecycle — from concept and simulation through integration, testing, and deployment — collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams.
Key Responsibilities- Engineer and optimize RF antenna and communication solutions spanning VHF to Ka-band frequencies
- Contribute to RF system architecture, technical evaluations, and end-to-end integration efforts
- Develop, model, prototype, and validate RF components including antennas, filters, passive devices, and front-end circuitry
- Conduct electromagnetic modeling, RF performance analysis, and hardware verification testing
- Assist with system integration, qualification campaigns, and operational validation activities
- Diagnose RF-related issues and implement enhancements to improve overall system performance
- Partner with manufacturing and test engineering teams to support production and deployment readiness
- Strong understanding of RF communications hardware including antennas, transceivers, LNAs, filters, amplifiers, and RF front-end architectures
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, integrating, or testing RF and antenna systems
- Experience using simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, ADS, or SPICE
- Practical lab experience with RF test equipment including Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Spectrum Analyzers, SDRs, and Power Meters
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or equivalent platforms
- Background in aerospace, satellite, or spaceflight systems
- Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDRs) and GNU Radio
- Familiarity with antenna measurement and environmental testing
- Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or C/C++
- Experience supporting hardware through full development lifecycle
