Aircraft Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Design & Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced Level) – Company:
The Boeing Company. Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for this role to support our Commercial Modifications Engineering team in Long Beach, CA. The position requires knowledge of engineering principles in design, analysis, and certification to contribute to the growth of the modifications sector. As a member of the ECS team, you will work on components and systems that directly affect the safety of airline passengers and support modifications of all in-service Boeing Commercial Airplane models to meet customer needs.

- Supports development and documentation of aircraft Environmental Control System analysis and architecture (air conditioning, air distribution, cabin pressure control, equipment cooling, cargo fire protection, nitrogen generating system, ice/rain protection, etc.)
- Assesses complex system events to determine potential safety issues, utilizing airplane function integration at the system and component level
- Contributes to development of hardware, software, system performance requirements, part kit definition, analytical methods, and certification of various airplane system installations new and existing
- Works directly with airline customers and multiple, cross‑functional teams to ensure effective system integration and customer satisfaction
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 1+ years experience working in an Engineering environment
- 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
- Master’s degree or higher
- Knowledge of Boeing design, certification, and engineering principles
- Ability to work with multiple team functions
- Experience with engineering disciplines related to aircraft Environmental Control Systems analysis, including compressible/in compressible fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, systems engineering, and/or computational fluid dynamics

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level
2): $90,950 – $123,050
Summary Pay Range for Experienced level (Level
3): $111,350 – $150,650
