Senior Electrical Engineer I/II

OverviewAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take part in the development and testing of avionics hardware for our spacecraft programs. You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines and manage all stages of electrical hardware development: requirements definition, design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production. Frequent on‑orbit testing opportunities are a key part of the role.
Responsibilities- Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer
- Conduct circuit analysis, including power, tolerance, and reliability evaluations
- Verify PCBA design through testing and integrate systems with spacecraft
- Support production manufacturing as needed
(This position can be hired at the Senior Electrical Engineer I or Senior Electrical Engineer II level)
Qualifications – Senior Electrical Engineer I- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of electrical hardware design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout
- Strong background in analog electronics design
- Proficiency performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel
- Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or related engineering discipline
- 8+ years of electrical hardware design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout
- Strong background in analog electronics design
- Proficiency performing circuit analyses in SPICE and Excel
- Proficiency with Altium Designer for complex PCB schematic capture and layout
- Knowledge of processors, FPGAs, switch‑mode power supplies, communication interfaces, and analog instrumentation
- Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Master’s or PhD in electrical, computer, or related engineering discipline
- Proficiency with basic electronic lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, soldering irons, etc.)
- Experience designing for space environments, including radiation effects and mitigation
- Experience designing for high‑reliability aerospace applications
- Experience designing rigid‑flex PCBs and general electromechanical design familiarity
- Experience with FPGA design and embedded software development for ARM core processors
- Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environment and managing competing priorities
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise, dust, and fumes in production areas may be required.
Base Salary Range (CA Only)$135,000 – $189,000 USD annually.
