The Systems Safety Engineer supports engineering activities related to system safety throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves assisting with hazard identification, risk assessments, safety analyses, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements. The engineer works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the development of safe and reliable systems. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.

Job Description Responsibilities:
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve product performance and cost targets while ensuring quality and manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe operating environment.
- Prepare technical reports, analyses, presentations, and engineering documentation.
- Define, analyze, and manage product and process requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage engineering activities to support project schedules and budgets.
- Perform system design and development activities while meeting customer requirements for quality, reliability, cost, and schedule.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including proposals, procedures, technical reports, and related documents.
- Support Systems Engineering activities including system architecture, requirements definition, validation, verification, and requirements flow-down.
- Perform System Safety analyses including Reliability Predictions, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Common Mode Analysis (CMA), and Single Event Upset (SEU) Analysis in accordance with ARP
4761. - Participate in certification compliance activities for aircraft control systems.
- Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant Systems Engineering/System Safety Engineering experience.
- Experience with ARP
4754 system development processes. - Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254, and DO-160.
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles, requirements management, validation, and verification.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
