Structural Engineer - Intermediate, Marine

Hybrid - Regular, Full-time

We are looking for an Intermediate Marine Engineer to join our team. The engineer will work closely with the Technical Director and Project Managers to prepare technical documents such as design basis documents, calculations, drawings, specifications, and engineering reports. The engineer will interface with specialists from geotechnical, coastal, engineer‑divers, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines.

• Perform tasks on projects requiring a broad and deep knowledge in structural engineering, bridge engineering or marine infrastructure.
• Perform structural analysis and design including reinforced and pre‑stressed concrete design, steel design, timber design, deep foundations, gravity‑based foundations, earth‑retaining structures, etc.
• Handle projects or parts of projects based on level of expertise and experience.
• Implement best design practices and ensure conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Prepare and review calculations for analysis and produce engineering reports and memoranda.
• Prepare construction drawings and other documents such as technical specifications.
• Perform construction administration activities, site inspections, and other tasks as required.

• Hold an M.S. or higher degree in Structural Engineering and a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a professional structural engineer.
• Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.Eng.) license.
• Experience in marine infrastructure, coastal engineering, bridges, tunnels, or other heavy civil work.
• Willingness and ability to travel and perform required fieldwork.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and relationship‑building skills.

Base compensation: $103,200 - $159,600 for the Oakland location. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
