Bridge Loan Associate
Salary: $52,000 - $65,000 per year
About the roleWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Bridge Loan Associate to support the firm’s commercial real‑estate lending platform. This role focuses on underwriting and executing short‑term bridge loan investments across a variety of asset classes, working closely with originations, credit, and asset management teams throughout the deal lifecycle. The position offers exposure to complex transactions, portfolio management, and direct interaction with borrowers, brokers, and capital partners.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with screening and evaluating new bridge loan opportunities, including initial deal intake and underwriting.
- Build and maintain financial models (cash flow, loan sizing, sensitivity analysis).
- Support preparation of investment memos, loan committee materials, and term sheets.
- Analyze property‑level financials, rent rolls, and borrower business plans.
- Conduct market and submarket research to support investment decisions.
- Identify key risks and recommend mitigants across credit, sponsorship, and asset performance.
- Track pipeline activity and manage deals from underwriting through closing.
- Coordinate with legal counsel, borrowers, brokers, and third‑party vendors during diligence and closing.
- Review loan documentation to ensure alignment with approved terms and compliance standards.
- Monitor existing loan portfolio performance and reporting.
- Assist with borrower requests, loan modifications, and extensions.
- Maintain organized deal files, reporting dashboards, and internal systems.
- Interface with internal teams (originations, capital markets, asset management).
- Support ongoing client and borrower communication throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in commercial real‑estate lending, bridge lending, underwriting, or investment analysis.
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills.
- Understanding of CRE fundamentals (NOI, DSCR, LTV, cap rates, loan structures).
- Experience with bridge, construction, or transitional lending preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
