PositionDescription
As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with international and U.S. accounting standards, and supporting operational processes within our U.S. entity. This position emphasizes hands‑on problem‑solving, process implementation, and collaboration with global teams to maintain alignment with Nikon SLM Solutions’ financial governance.
Key Responsibilities- Apply and ensure compliance with IFRS and US‑GAAP accounting standards for financial reporting.
- Manage and oversee month‑end processes, including journal entries, corrections, and reconciliations.
- Develop and implement new financial governance processes and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Nikon SLM headquarters in Germany to align with group financial standards.
- Support inventory management and production operations with a strong operational understanding.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations, including registrations and filings.
- Manage payroll processing and accounts payable functions.
- Provide cash flow forecasts and manage cash flow effectively.
- Ensure adherence to SOX/JSOX compliance requirements, including documentation and internal controls.
- Oversee ERP systems such as SAP and Quick Books, ensuring streamlined financial operations.
- Troubleshoot financial issues with a hands‑on, results‑driven approach.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- Proven expertise in IFRS, US‑GAAP, and SOX/JSOX compliance.
- Strong operational knowledge of inventory management and production processes.
- Extensive experience with U.S. tax regulations and filings.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems like SAP and Quick Books.
- Demonstrated success in implementing financial governance processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional problem‑solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Strong team‑oriented mindset with a proactive, results‑driven attitude.
