The Director of Hospital Finance Maintains the general ledger in compliance with GAAP, prepares monthly financial statements and reporting package for College Medical Center Long Beach, Glendora Hospital and any existing or future facilities within our health system. The Director of Hospital Finance manages the annual budget preparation process and the filing of hospital cost reports and other required annual reports, supervises the Accounting Manager for both College Medical Center and Glendora Hospital.

Performs special projects as requested by the CEO and CFO.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Five years of experience in healthcare/Hospital accounting and finance.
• Experience in collaborative management and team bulding
• Multi-Facility oversight highly preferred

• Oversees the activities of the accounting manager.
• Ensures that all required remittances, reporting and filings are done timely and accurately. Effectively directs and/or prepares the monthly financial reporting packages accurately and on time.
• Effectively directs and/or prepares the annual audit work paper package accurately and on time.
• Effectively directs and/or prepares the annual OSHPD disclosure reports.
• Effectively directs and/or prepares the Medicare and Medi-Cal cost reports.
• Effectively directs the reports and survey requested by various agencies, i.e. Medi-Cal Managed Care.
• Effectively directs the payroll process and related benefits reporting, such as for 401(k) plan.
• Demonstrates decision making process and the ability to recognize priorities and resolve appropriately.
• Aggressively seeks to streamline operations and procedures, improving the quality and efficiency of the department. Monitor and analyze costs saving strategies

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for College Medical Center roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that College Medical Center in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
