Job Summary

Sentinel is looking for a Government Property Administrator at Vandenburg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara, CA. This position will report to the Field Supply Chain Manager in the Supply Chain Organization and provides principal support in the administration of the government property control program. Candidates must be able to complete and pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education.

Major

Responsibilities
  • Implements property management processes for acquisition, receiving, identification, records, inventories, subcontractor control, storage, movement, utilization, maintenance, reports, relief of stewardship, disposition, contract closeout, and fleet management (GSA vehicles).
  • Assists managers and administrators in completing tasks required by the Government Property Management Procedures and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and property records management systems.
  • Interfaces with property custodians to facilitate procedures and monitor compliance with prime contract obligations.
  • Conducts investigations and inquiries into specific government property control management areas.
  • Drafts correspondence and assists in preparing periodic status reports.
  • Conducts inventories, reconciles reports, and prepares metrics.
  • Processes excess property for disposition, including segregation, documentation, and turn‑in.
  • Assists with and/or develops procedures, instructions, forms, and training programs.
  • Maintains property record databases for uniquely identified property, summary records, subcontractor property, excess property, and disposed property.
  • Prepares various property reports upon request, such as government inventory and status reports.
  • Prepares trend analyses, participates in government property meetings, and organizes materials for meetings, presentations, and training sessions.
  • May oversee and administer programs with the property control system, as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Level I:
    University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Level II:
    Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with standard asset management software such as Sunflower.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment/material up to 25 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge of contract types, terms, and legal requirements.
  • NPMA CPPS certification or willingness to attain.
  • Prior experience in tracking and controlling government property.
  • Six Sigma Yellow‑belt certification or willingness to attain.
  • Basic knowledge of FAR Part 45 and 52.245‑1.
