About the Role
The Residential Support Specialist (RSS) provides personal care and training to adults with developmental disabilities within an Adult Residential Facility. Responsibilities include training residents in self-help, daily living, and community integration activities, overseeing household maintenance and meal preparation, collecting data, preparing data summaries, and adhering to a schedule of activities.
An RSS 1 has additional duties such as assisting residents with self-administration of medications and acting as shift leader in the absence of the Home Administrator. The wage for an RSS 1 is higher than that for an RSS 2.
