Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists to support the Long Beach VA Health Care System located at 5901 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90822. MRI Technologists shall operate a super conductive MRI machine, which is a highly complex computerized imaging device that employs the use of strong magnetic fields and radio waves to acquire images of the entire body, including the brain, neck, spine, chest, body, and extremities.

Available shift schedules include days, evenings, and nights. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers. Exceptional compensation packages with full benefits are available.

• Operates a super conductive MRI machine, which is a highly complex computerized imaging device that employs the use of strong magnetic fields and radio waves to acquire images of the entire body, including the brain, neck, spine, chest, body and extremities
• Sets up radiographic suites and ensures that sterile supplies, contrast materials, catheters, and other required equipment/supplies are present and available
• Prepares and administers contrast material orally, by enema, or under close supervision of radiologists, intravenously but not independently; as required by procedure or patient’s condition, monitors vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate), and reports any significant changes to a radiologist
• Lifts, positions, pushes, and transfers patients, supplies, and/or equipment as needed
• Performs related clerical duties such as sending images to PACS, archiving images, and case editing of computer requests and reports
• As required, maintains records and enters patient information into the computer through the use of the Radiology Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VISTA) package

• High School Diploma
• Certificate of Completion from a Radiologic Technologist training program accredited by an institution recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and/or the JCERT
• Advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) is required
• A minimum of one (1) year of proven clinical experience in MRI in a Level 1 hospital setting is preferred
• Previous Siemens equipment experience is preferred
• No sponsorship available

$43.43 - $58.00 hourly

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
