The salary range for this position is expected to be between $,000 per year, depending on geographic location, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

About the Role:
People & Culture Leadership (50%)- Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and people strategy.
- Lead HR operations including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and leadership development.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, HRIS management, and workforce reporting.
- Oversee compensation, benefits, retirement plans, salary benchmarking, and total rewards programs.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture focused on engagement, communication, and professional growth.
- Manage annual HR and staff development budgets and support organizational planning initiatives.
- Provide strategic oversight for volunteer engagement, recruitment, retention, recognition, and leadership development.
- Support alignment between organizational strategy and regional volunteer operations.
- Partner with leadership teams to improve volunteer and family engagement initiatives.
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and advisor to senior leadership.
- Act as liaison to Board committees and external partner organizations.
- Participate in organization-wide strategic planning and decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and support People & Culture staff.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and cross-functional partnership across teams.
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations, policy, and operational matters.
- Oversee HR and volunteer services budgets, invoices, expense reporting, and payroll/timecard approvals.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial and administrative processes.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of HR or people operations experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
- Strong knowledge of California employment law, compensation, employee relations, and HR systems.
- Experience building and scaling people programs in mission-driven organizations preferred.
- Supervisory and executive-level leadership experience required.
