Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops team lead to build, scale, and lead our Dev Ops practice in the United States. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our enterprise shipping software solutions across both our SaaS and embedded SAP product lines. The Dev Ops Lead will guide a growing team, set standards for CI/CD, cloud cost management, observability, and automation, and partner closely with engineering, security, and solution delivery teams to enable smooth deployments and resilient production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategy
    • Define and execute the Dev Ops vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Dev Ops team.
    • Partner with engineering, product, and delivery teams to align priorities and ensure operational excellence.
  • Infrastructure & Automation
    • Own the design, deployment, and scaling of cloud infrastructure (AWS/OCI).
    • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure releases.
    • Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) practices.
  • Reliability & Observability
    • Establish SRE best practices to drive uptime, system resilience, and performance.
    • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
    • Drive incident management processes and root-cause analysis to reduce MTTR.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Partner with Security to ensure Dev Sec Ops  practices are integrated into the SDLC.
    • Support SOC 2, ISO, GDPR, and other compliance initiatives through secure infrastructure practices.
    • Enforce least-privilege access, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Cost & Performance Optimization
    • Manage cloud cost efficiency while maintaining system performance.
    • Set up chargeback/showback reporting (e.g., cost per transaction, per environment).
    • Regularly review and optimize resource usage across environments.
Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred).
  • Strong background in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, etc.).
  • Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems integration (SAP, ERP, WMS, or similar) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across departments.
